Saint Matthew’s open house is the first opportunity for parents or guardians to place their children on the waiting list for admittance.
Catholic and non-Catholic students are welcome at St. Matthew’s.
First grade students must be 6, Kindergarten students must be 5, Kindergarten Prep 4 students must be 4, and Kindergarten Prep 3 students must be 3 by September 30th. All preschoolers must be toilet trained before entering the program.
Requirements for Kindergarten Prep – 1st School Admission
a) Birth certificate
b) Baptismal certificate for Catholic students
c) Proof of adequate immunizations as required by the Code of Virginia.
d) State of Virginia physical examinations within 12 months of entering school
e) Proof of custody (where applicable)
Requirements for Admission to Other Grades
a) Birth certificate
b) Baptismal certificate for Catholic students
c) Proof of adequate immunizations as required by the Code of Virginia
d) Records from previous school
e) Proof of custody (where applicable)
f) State of Virginia physical examination
g) Placement/screening testing for grades K-8 may be required. You will be contacted by the main office to schedule testing if necessary.
