Welcome to St. Matthew’s Catholic School

A National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence! The United States Department of Education awards annually the Blue Ribbon to the top K-12 public and private schools in the nation. This indicates that our students scored in the top 10 percent in the nation on the Terra Nova standardized test. It also means that we, the faculty, staff, parents, and students, take seriously the mission of providing for and participating in a Catholic educational program that is academically rigorous and engaging for our school community.

At St. Matthew’s School we have implemented the “Leader In Me” program that teaches children leadership skills starting in Pre-K through eighth grade. This program also combats bullying at its core – teaching children to respect each other and learning real skills to form positive relationships. As principal I believe leadership is communicating people’s worth and potential so clearly that they are inspired to see it in themselves.
